Indian Costume, Bollywood (Indian traditional dress) or Native American?
Both of these styles make for fabulous fancy dress and will suit a variety of themes.
The Native Americans
Since John Wayne rode in on his iron steed, Wild West theme events have seen a myriad of American Indian costumes making an appearance on the dusty plains.

Bollywood
Indian hollywood dress is bright, garish, and often brightly patterned. Sumptuous fabrics and highly ornamental, this is Indian finery at it's best. Sari's are a common sight in India and the film industry makes the most of showing off the elaborate designs and pleasing colours.
